New article by Kodex director published in SETCERGS Magazine
The work has reflections and different perspectives on management today, marked by innovation and humanized processes
Data collected from 2015 to 2016 by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) for Innovation Research (Pintec) revealed that 33.6% of a total of 116,962 Brazilian companies with 10 or more workers performed some
type of innovation in its products or processes. Another survey developed in June 2020 by the FSB Research Institute commissioned by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), pointed out that 83% of organizations will need to innovate more
to grow, or even survive in the post-pandemic market.
As the main means of supplying industry and commerce, road freight transport (TRC) is, according to data from the National Transport Confederation (CNT), responsible for moving more than 65% of what is produced
in the country. Such relevance and scope require a strong performance and attention from companies in the sector for the innovations that the market offers, in order to increasingly improve their services. Realizing this need and attentive to disseminate
the good practices carried out by the carriers, entrepreneurs from Lajeado and Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, Lucas Scapini, CEO of Grupo Scapini and Thaís Bandeira, Partner-owner of Kodex Express officially launched, in the last
Tuesday (14), together with 16 other entrepreneurs in the road freight transport sector, the book “Experiences in management for the innovation of Brazilian freight transport”, where they present the challenges, opportunities and
management learnings based on their experiences.
During the book launch, which took place at Cine Petra Belas Artes, Lucas spoke about the need to invest resources in technology for the transport sector. “We have technology companies turning into logistics.
If we who are in logistics don't become technological too, how are we going to go forward?”, he commented. For Scapini, being connected to new technologies is essential for the progress of a company. “The physical is very slow and the digital is
very fast, and to find that balance, the Scapini group had to transform itself, and this was only possible because we have great professionals who make the difference every day”, he pointed out.
Despite not being in person at the event, Thaís marked his presence with a video message, commenting on how the transport sector was of extreme need during the pandemic, especially Kodex, which operates in the
hospital branch. “It is very clear that (after the pandemic) society reassessed the value of transport and logistics in the country, being an excellent solution for the transport of respirators and vaccines”, he reflects.
According to Bandeira, the period was essential to demonstrate the strength of the segment. “I believe that this was an achievement of the sector in the face of this necessary response at this time”, he pointed out.
The work is part of the IT10 and IT Seniors projects, whose objective is to develop the image of Brazilian road freight transport through efficient and active communication of TRC influencers with the press and their
social media. Likewise, the project seeks to take the main discussions of the segment to places where the sector is not usually associated or does not have the habit of attending. Thus, bringing to society the importance of the segment and the
scope of his activities.
It is the second publication of the project. Last year, 10 entrepreneurs participated in the first book, entitled “Brazilian cargo transport in times of a pandemic”, which brought reflections, challenges and opportunities
presented to the cargo transport segment in the pandemic, caused by the emergence of the new coronavirus.
The book “Management Experiences for the Innovation of Brazilian Cargo Transport” will soon be available on the internet and is an initiative of Grupo Mostra de Ideias with the support of EME and encouragement from Mercedes Benz.
